Privacy and Your Rights
At HEAL Together, we prioritize your privacy and follow all state and federal guidelines to ensure your personal and health information stays confidential.
Confidentiality
We follow the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines to keep your information safe. We will not share what you tell us without your written permission—except in a few specific circumstances required by law:
If there is a threat of serious harm to you or someone else
If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or dependent adult
If records are subpoenaed by a court of law
If you ever have questions about your privacy or our policies, we're here to answer them.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)
As of January 1, 2022, you are protected by the federal No Surprises Act, which requires that you receive a clear estimate of the cost of care—before services begin.
What This Means for You
You can request a written Good Faith Estimate at any time if you are paying out-of-pocket.
The estimate will include the expected cost of services such as intake sessions, therapy appointments, or other fees.
We will provide the estimate in writing within 3 business days.
If your bill ends up at least $400 more than the estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges through a formal resolution process.
Transparency is part of building trust. If you have any questions about estimates or fees, please reach out—we’re happy to help.
